If you don't mind, what is your process of "tightening up" a painting from your rough/greyscale to the final/finished color?
For example if it was me doing this painting, I would lighten and print off the greyscale image and tighten up the details with a pencil drawing while using old/study sketches and visual reference material (if any)...then I would scan the sketch in and do the final painting/tightening under the sketch and then over the sketch (hoping this makes sense). Of course,I would also use old/study sketches and visual reference(if any) during this stage. Then, if I didn't want my pencil sketch to show, I would continue to paint and adjust until it was gone...which my personal preference is to have my sketch show through a bit...
