I just picked this up on Friday, and your artwork is amazing! I was always a huge fan of Cosmic Encounter primarily because of the alien artwork, so I was saddened by later editions that had substandard artwork (and that’s putting it nicely). I have to say that this version tops them all! Thank you so much for making a great game even better!
If anything, I was downplaying my excitement about the artwork. I could write an essay on the difference between good and bad CE artwork (hint: aliens shouldn’t just be people in funny costumes!), and your designs continually strike a balance between really showing the character of the alien power, and actually LOOKING alien. I kept flipping through them with my son (who is about the age I was when the original Cosmic Encounter came out), saying, “Look at this one! Oh wait, look at THIS one!”
